Margret Virostek's Electronic Portfolio
"Google Docs is a free, Web-based word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, form, and data storage service offered by Google. It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. Google Docs combines the features of Writely and Spreadsheets with a presentation program incorporating technology designed by Tonic Systems." -Wikipedia

This assgnment was to use Google Docs as a place where we could create an online grade book for our classroom. I created a grade book with three seperate spreadsheets that included atleast five students and five graded assignments, which incorporated the functions: total, sum, minimum, maximum, and average.  This required me to use the "IF" function to set an appropriate grading scale.  Other requirements for this assignment were to use borders, cell shading, text color and font styles, different charts were included, and all the pages were labeled correctly. This assignment was a useful tool for the future because having everything online or on the computer is much easier than having to keep everything documented in a book. It is easily accessible, can be easily added too, and is visually appealing and organized.

I have created an example spreadsheet using Google Docs.  To see this example spreadsheet, click ont he link below.
